Worked as assistant, senior lecturer, then assistant professor of the Chair on economic problems of capitalism at the MSU Faculty of Economics.

Worked as lead researcher, then head of laboratory at the Institute of Economic Forecasting of the Russian Academy of Sciences; expert of the Russian-European Centre for Economic Policy (RECEP); Director of the Department of Research of the Russian Central Bank; Executive Director of the Development Centre economic studies foundation; head of the Department of Macroeconomic Forecasting of the RF Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.

In 2008–2014, RF Deputy Minister of Economic Development.
